Development Projects
MOUSUMI has a good reputation in developing new and innovative project/program and has an expert dedicated team for managing diverse projects fulfilling the goals & objectives. The project management practices of the organization; new ideas initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing the work of a team to achieve specific targets meet specific success criteria within the specified time. MOUSUMI has implemented a good number of development projects/programs that played a significant role towards improving the livelihoods of the poor people in the project working areas.
Recovery and Advancement of Informal Sector Employment (RAISE)
- MOUSUMI since its inception has been implementing primary education programs among around 300 students from pre-play to 5th standard by establishing MOUSUMI Biddaniketon with the curriculum and technical support of Bangladesh Kindergarten Association.
- education support is being provided to 900 children, Class One and Two students studying in primary schools through 30 education centers under the education program of ENRICH program with the financial support of PKSF.
Rural Microenterprise Transformation Project (RMTP)
In Adamdighi of Bogra district, Raninagar, and Atrai upazila of Naogaon district, through the value chain development sub-project titled Production of safe fish products and marketing of fish products, fish farmers are working for more quantity of fish production and marketing of fish products through the use of modern technology.
Enhancing Resources and Increasing Capacities of Poor Households towards Elimination of their Poverty (ENRICH)
Vision:
To create an enabling environment for the poor to achieve a humanly dignified living standard and enjoy universal human rights.
The Overall Goal:
To ensuring human dignity and freedom by gradually reducing poverty in a sustainable manner, towards total elimination of poverty and beyond poverty in a sustainable development at the household level.
The Specific objectives:
- To Attain total development of each household as well as the whole community participating in ENRICH.
- To Empower the poor households through capacity building To Ensure human dignity for all.
- To Facilitate the best utilization of the existing capabilities and resources of the poor households and to help enhance both their capabilities and resources in order to enable them to come out poverty and move ahead towards a life of human dignity.
MOUSUMI Agriculture Fisheries and Livestock Unit
Pesticide and toxin-free vegetables are being produced by marginal farmers using modern agricultural technology and ensuring the profitability of livestock using appropriate technologies at the farmer level under the livestock sector including sustainable employment, increased income, food security, and safe food production. As a proud development partner of the Government of Bangladesh, the immense potential of the fisheries sector is being worked on under the Integrated Agriculture Unit for better management, full utilization of resources, and above all food security.
